So that's about $110 in to get it running with the basics. Oh I purchased a 5gal Aqueon kit- I used it for 5 years & now my mother in law has been using it for an additional year- sometimes Aqueon surprises meĬlick to expand.If you have a Petco you will have a lot left over after you drop the thirty bucks on the tank itself. So I would just say to think about your personal tank needs, if planted you may need higher lighting, if resin/plastic decor & plants you could probably save money buying the kit.
